Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling

Gloucester Cheese RollingLine up at the top of a very (very) steep hill, then when a large round Gloucestershire Cheese is set rolling down it….. chase it! First person to the bottom of the hill wins…..
Wins a Cheese!

The first cheese is rolled at 12 mid-day. There are several races, both for adults and for youngsters through the afternoon. Join in the chase if your nerves hold up (when you look down from the top of the hill!). You don’t need any application forms, just be at the top of the hill and wait behind a big cheese….. when it goes, you follow :o) Lots of grubby-faced fun.

If your nerve gives out, then join the hundreds of spectators that line both sides of the hill from the top to the bottom. This takes place each year on the last Monday in May (bank holiday) from 12 mid-day at Cooper’s Hill in Gloucestershire.
